Volleyball 2026
Save the Date! Volleyball Tryouts June 29 - 30
Ages
Girls ages 11-19 can tryout to play for one of our teams IF they are homeschooled or their school does not offer volleyball. Middle School covers ages 11-13 or grades 6-8th (some young 9th graders new to the game are sometimes started on the Middle School team); JV is ages 13-16 or grades 8-11th; Varsity is ages 13-19 (all seniors must tryout for Varsity).
When
Early July (beginning AFTER Independence Day) through mid-October for the Middle School and JV teams. The Varsity season culminates in a 3-day national tournament (NACA) in Dayton, TN the last full week of October. An 'end of season' celebration is usually held after the Varsity season is finished.
Where
Where does Eagles Volleyball play?
Practices and home matches are played at Warren-Crossbridge, 3130 Skinner Mill Rd, Augusta, GA
Practices
Practices begin in early July and are held Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday each week.
PRE-SEASON POWER & AGILITY TRAINING
This is completely VOLUNTARY, but will be incredibly valuable leading up to tryouts. Days will vary from strength work to speed and agility to plyos, along with some volleyball specific work. All of the tools gained during these sessions can be used elsewhere and on your own time.
Available time slots will be M, W, F between 12p and 3p (with some exceptions). Sign up for what works for you. Each session is 50 minutes.
NOTE: There are slots for only 6 athletes per hour. Your commitment is to that hour, and times WILL NOT overlap out of respect for other athletes'.
If for any reason you cannot make your selected time, please edit your sign up to make it available to others.
These sessions are not sponsored by Eagles Volleyball, so a liability release waiver is required. Please find the document at the bottom of this page to print off the waiver. It will need to be completed prior to participating.
Games
We compete against teams in the CSRA such as Augusta Christian, Alleluia Community School, Aquinas High School, to name a few. We also compete in South Carolina: Greenville-Spartanburg area, Columbia, and Aiken, and travel to Savannah, GA.
Teams compete in a few Saturday tournaments over the course of the season to venues in the Gainesville, GA area, Greenville-Spartanburg, and Dayton, TN (varsity only).
Jerseys
Jerseys are provided along with a pair of shorts. These are expected to be worn at matches as well as tournaments. They need to be handed in at the end of the season.
